WISCONSIN CHEESE AND SAUSAGE STRATA

Ingredients:

12 slices white bread, cubed, crust removed
8 ounces (2 cups) Wisconsin Cheddar cheese curds
4 ounces (1 cup) Wisconsin Mozzarella cheese, cubed
8 ounces Polish sausage or cubed cooked ham or 16 ounces (1 pound) bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
6 eggs
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Cooking Directions:

Butter 13x9 inch baking dish. Place one half of cubed bread in baking dish. Cover with cheeses, meat and mushrooms. Top with remaining cubed bread. Beat eggs with milk and seasonings. Pour over bread, making sure to coat all cubes. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours. Bake at 350° F for 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
